Afari is an upcoming rapper based in London. He fell in love with Hip Hop at a young age and began to write lyrics of his own. He quickly abandoned his dream however, discarding his lyrics, but was inspired to pick up the pen once more, many years later at 19. Since then he has resolved not to let go of his dream, releasing a series of singles and “Uncaged” – his debut EP.

With introspective lyricism, Afari creates personal, real music. Finding inspiration through his personal life situations and experiences, the struggles and the good times, he uses music as an outlet, conveying his perspective on life.

His latest song ‘My Life’ tells his personal story of struggles with mental health, self-esteem issues, isolation and his spiritual journey wrestling with questions of faith. It takes listeners through his journey over the last few years explaining how he was able to work through these struggles and eventually find hope and purpose in using his music to reach and inspire others that may be going through some of the same struggles.
