Kirk Franklin signed artists ‘The Walls Group’ with their new video release for single Perfect People. This is a new generation of gifted kinfolk and the word on The Walls Group is spreading quickly throughout Gospel and Christian music. From deep in the heart of Texas comes The Walls Group. Darrel, Rhea, Paco and Ahjah are the singing four of eight children born to Roger and Alicia Walls.
Coming from a musical family, where both their mother and father are musicians and singers, this 5th generation of singers bring a newer and exciting younger face to Gospel music. They hope to spread the message of Hope and Love through Jesus Christ and to Bless the hearts of God’s People everywhere. Each member of the multi-talented Walls Group contributes their own distinct gifts to create their refreshing and unique sound that has been called “Walls Flavor”. This sound caught the attention of Franklin and he was eager to work with them and help the young artists cultivate their special talents. About signing The Walls Group to Fo Yo Soul, he offers “When I first saw a video of The Walls Group, I knew they were something special. I was truly blown away by their vocal abilities at such young ages. And when I flew down to Houston to meet them, I couldn’t believe how down to earth and humble they were. I truly saw something unique in this group and I’m excited to start this new journey with The Walls.” Franklin has begun working with The Walls Group on their sophomore album scheduled for release in 2013.
They are just an ordinary bunch of kids, living a pretty ordinary life, but are aspiring to do extraordinary things. Darrel, with his dynamic riffs and runs and those magic fingers, Rhea, with her sweet voice of velvet, Paco, with his raspy, sultry sound, and Ahjah with her powerful, jazzy style and beautiful smile, all come together to make the unique sound that so many have come to know and love.
Ministry is the heart of The Walls Group and singing is the vessel in which to tell of the good news. Their youthful voices stand toe to toe with some of the leading gospel artist today.
