Gaise Baba has released the official music video for ‘FIRE’, his collaboration with Kaestrings from the God Is Cooking album.

The album has been out for a while, but ‘FIRE’ is getting another moment with the arrival of its official visuals.

It was already one of the interesting collaborations on the album, especially because of the pairing. Gaise Baba and Kaestrings are two names we know well within Nigerian Christian music, but we do not necessarily know them for the same kind of sound.

Gaise Baba is right at home on ‘FIRE’. The Afrogospel rhythm, energy and delivery are very much in his territory, but then Kaestrings comes in and that is where things get even more interesting.

We have come to know Kaestrings mainly through worship. Songs like ‘Rahama’ and much of the music associated with him have shown us that side of his ministry over the years. ‘FIRE’, however, takes him somewhere different.

That is probably one of the things that makes the collaboration work. Gaise Baba does not have to move away from his sound to accommodate his guest, and Kaestrings does not sound like he is forcing himself into it either. We simply get to hear another side of what he can do.

With the official music video now here, ‘FIRE’ gets a fresh moment beyond the album, with the visuals carrying the same energy that made the song stand out in the first place.
