Folabi Nuel has released the official live performance of ‘Yahweh Sabaoth’, featuring Greatman Takit.
The worship release brings the two Nigerian artists together for a beautiful live moment that starts with ‘Yahweh Sabaoth’ before gradually flowing into “At the mention of Your name, every knee must bow.”
As the song progresses, the worship simply keeps building, with both Folabi and Greatman allowing the moment to take its own course rather than keeping everything within the structure of one song.
It is also really great seeing Greatman Takit step back into worship mode.
We have seen so much of his Afrobeats side in recent times, but Greatman has always been able to move between that and worship so well. There is no attempt to bring a different energy into the song simply because he is on it. He settles into the worship alongside Folabi and looks completely at home doing it.
Folabi, meanwhile, remains right at the centre of the moment, leading the worship as ‘Yahweh Sabaoth’ grows from a song into a much longer expression of worship.
The chemistry between both artists makes the collaboration work, and for anyone who has enjoyed the different sides of Greatman Takit over the years, it is good to see this side of him again.
