Gospel singer, songwriter and worship leader Folabi Nuel has released a new nine-track album titled “We Feel Heaven (Live)”, featuring Kaestrings, Greatman Takit, Ibquake and Lifepointe Band.
What a beautiful way to open an album! ‘He Reigns’ begins with declarations of God’s greatness: “El Shaddai, Adonai, Your kingdom is forever, You are the First and the Last, who was and is to come.” Right from the opening moments, Folabi sets the direction for an album centred on the majesty and sovereignty of God.
And after an hour of worship, the album ends in celebration. ‘Praising The Lord’, featuring Lifepointe Band, brings a joyful, dance-filled atmosphere with the familiar Nigerian praise chorus, ‘Praising the Lord always’. It is a lively finish to a recording that begins with adoration and ends with thanksgiving.
Between these two songs, the album explores the revelation of who God is and our response to Him in worship. Across the nine tracks, Folabi sings of God’s worthiness, His power to deliver and the victory of Christ’s resurrection, moving through moments of surrender, faith and praise.
Sharing his excitement about the album, Folabi described it as a masterpiece and an incredible body of work. He revealed that he had shared the project with several people ahead of its release, and their feedback pointed to one conclusion: it is truly a sound of heaven.
Beyond the opening track, ‘You Are Worthy’ and ‘My Response’ continue the atmosphere of adoration, while ‘Deliverer’, featuring Kaestrings, speaks of God’s saving power. ‘He’s Alive’ celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and Greatman Takit joins Folabi on ‘Yahweh Sabaoth’, a title meaning Lord of Hosts.
The album also features Ibquake on ‘I See The Lord’, alongside ‘Eledumare’, which draws its title from the Yoruba name for the Supreme God.
Live worship has long been a significant part of Folabi’s music. Through previous projects such as Hunger: From Our Heart to Yours, Revival Is in the Air and Live from London, he has continued to share songs that have found their way into personal devotion and congregational worship.
With “We Feel Heaven (Live)”, Folabi adds another recording to his growing catalogue, bringing together different voices and expressions of worship, from the opening declarations of God’s greatness to the joyful celebration that closes the album.
The table is set, and the feast is ready. In Folabi Nuel’s words, “Go and feast!”
