It’s been three years since Emmanuel Smith’s historic sold-out Indigo O2 concert and on Sunday 27 th
November the singer will make a return to the iconic venue to sing about Jesus. With a bevy of artists such as MOG, Akesse Brempong, Tab Worship, Annatoria and Campus Rush billed to perform, the night promises to be an incredible time in God’s presence.
Dubbed “Skylight”, the concert is Smith’s response to the vision God gave him about five years ago to take the gospel to mainstream venues. “Skylight is a name given to a window in an attic that allows natural light to come through and illuminate a room. God revealed to me that the body of Christ is that window purposed to allow His light to come through and light up the world,” he said.
The Voice UK star’s heart for the night is that people will experience the gospel in its purest form and be exposed to the growth of the genre. A special feature on the night guaranteed to rouse the audience to fever pitch will be an intimate acoustic set with five accomplished guitarists. Hardcore Emmanuel Smith fans will be thrilled to learn that the singer will be performing all his hits so get ready to vibe to the Afrogospel banger ‘Asore ye de’ and groove to ‘Coming up to where you are.’
