Elevation Worship have released their new album “So Be It”, adding another live project to their growing catalogue of worship music. Known for consistent congregational sounds over the years, this album continues in that direction while keeping the focus clear and centred, marking their 18th overall album and 13th live album.
But beyond the numbers, the title itself says a lot. “So Be It” sounds settled. It does not feel like waiting or hoping. It feels like something has already been established. That tone runs through the album.
The record carries ten tracks and runs just under an hour. From the opening title track So Be It featuring Tiffany Hudson and Chris Brown, the direction is clear. It is bold, confident worship. As the album moves through songs like Alleluia, I Know A Name, Jesus Be The Name, and Call God, it balances strong declarations with quieter moments of reflection.
There is also a clear sense of collaboration throughout. Familiar voices such as Chris Brown, Tiffany Hudson, Chandler Moore, Brandon Lake, Leeland Mooring, Davide Mutendji, Tori Elliott and Isaiah Templeton appear across the project. The different voices bring variety, but the sound remains consistent.
One thing that stands out strongly across the album is the focus on the name of Jesus. His exaltation. His resurrection. And especially what He did on the cross. The gospel sits right at the centre of this project. Lines like “a throne to a cross”, “I got a King who is risen”, “something came out of the grave”, “Jesus Christ the resurrection and the life”, “Rock of my salvation”, and “Thank You God, You made a way” keep bringing it back to the finished work of Christ.
It is not just worship for the sake of sound. It is rooted in what Jesus has done. The cross and the empty grave are not background ideas here, they are the foundation. That is why praise and gratitude flow so naturally through the album.
“So Be It” feels like agreement. Like saying Amen after remembering what has already been secured. It speaks from a place of confidence, not striving. It sounds like faith that knows the work is finished. So Be It.
