BBC’s Songs of Praise explores Caribbean and African impact on UK life & faith

To celebrate Black History Month, Brenda Edwards of BBC’s Songs of Praise is in Brixton, South London to hear how people of Caribbean and African descent have helped shaped the life and faith of the UK. She visits an exhibition at the National Caribbean Heritage Museum that marks 40 years of the newspaper that gave a voice to the black community. We meet the man putting up plaques to celebrate Caribbean and African history and heritage and Sean Fletcher explores how faith shaped the extraordinary life of a forgotten footballing hero.

Songs of Praise this Sunday 17th October 2021 will feature a rich mix of music and a special performance from Brenda herself on Sunday 17th October 2021 BBC One at 1.15pm and afterwards HERE
