AStepFWD driving innovation with BPI & Abbey Road’s Grow Music

The music industry thrives on collaboration, making last month’s BPI and Abbey Road’s Grow Music networking event at Meta’s offices a perfect opportunity for connection. The AStepFWD team was excited to attend, engaging with a diverse group of music industry entrepreneurs, each developing innovative services for artists—many leveraging cutting-edge technology. With increasing challenges in making music profitable, forging meaningful relationships with listeners through fresh ideas and teamwork remains essential for the industry’s growth.

“Attending BPI Grow Music has, at times, reminded me of my university days—which I thankfully enjoyed! The programme has challenged us to see AStepFWD in a completely new light, not just as a ministry but as a kingdom business. It has sparked a fresh vision for where AStepFWD is headed after its first decade, and we fully expect to go from strength to strength—serving both artists and audiences who love uplifting, faith-inspired music with greater visibility than ever before.”O’Neil Dennis, AStepFWD Founder

AStepFWD has been actively involved in the pioneering BPI Grow Music 12-week programme since its launch at Abbey Road Studios in September 2024. Designed by BPI in partnership with Abbey Road Red, Anthony David King, Measure of Music, UK Black Tech, and Angel Investing School’s Andy Ayim, the programme provides invaluable business support for SMEs, helping them grow and refine their ideas. By offering direct access to the heart of the UK’s recorded and live music industry, BPI Grow Music continues to position London as a global hub for music technology, innovation, and business development.
