With the view that Father’s Day is never just a one-day celebration, gospel reggae artist Annette B has released the official music video for her powerful single, ‘Daddy I Love You’. The song, a tribute to her father and father figures everywhere, is brought to life with a personal and warm visual to accompany its soulful reggae-gospel sound.
“I am so excited about this song,” Annette says. “There are so many songs about mothers and only a few about fathers. I wanted to acknowledge my dad and all the dads. I do hope this song brings moments of joy.”
Annette B has a long-standing career, first as a secular reggae artist with hits like ‘Fairy Godmother’ and ‘I Found Love‘. After a spiritual shift in 2001, she returned to music with a fresh purpose. Her 2013 gospel album, “When I Wake Up”, along with other notable tracks, has helped shape the UK’s gospel reggae scene.
Beyond her music, Annette is the founder of the GX Awards and GX (Gospel Xplosion), a platform that champions gospel talent in the UK and internationally. The 8th annual GX Awards ceremony, which celebrates gospel music, media, and entertainment, took place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Birmingham Town Hall. The event honored individuals and ministries within the Christian community for their contributions. Annette is also an award-winning radio and TV presenter.
