The just-ended Feast of Judah concert at the Empowerment Center was an unforgettable night of heartfelt praise and adoration. It was hosted by UK-based Ghanaian contemporary musician, Pastor Jayju with a special guest performance by Grammy Recording Academy member MOG Music. The concert atmosphere was dominated with excitement from the beginning to the end. It was an evening dedicated to God that provided a powerful emotional and spiritual renewal experience for everyone in attendance. The audience, with raised voices and hands, danced in praise and lifted worship through the medley of songs at the concert.
Opening the show was a live band instrumentation that set the mood for the night with their exhilarating music pieces. It set the tone for the audience to ease their way into the event for the night and prepared them for the spiritually charged prayer time that followed right after.
All was set for the headliner, Pastor Jayju, to take us on an intimate journey with God through spirit-filled songs and his soothing voice. He inspired hearts to touch The Father’s heart in deep worship songs of fellowship, awe and admiration for God. These songs, which included his songs, were a merger of African and English worship songs. He continued with a live recording of his new songs, anchored on themes of gratitude. The audience were up and dancing in response to the songs. Pastor Jayju’s energy in praise commanded the stage and caused the audience to erupt in dancing amidst loud cheers. It was the highlight of his music session. Ghanaian award-winning and ecording Academy member MOG Music took the stage with worship medleys centered on the greatness of God. He performed his hit songs and medleys and the audience could not contain themselves as they broke into dancing. MOG music exhibited a series of praise dance moves as he took us to another dimension of the gathering.
Feast of Judah was an electrifying experience. The word ‘Judah’ means ‘praise’ and just like the name of the concert, it was a feast of diverse kinds of praise of different cultures. Although there were difficulties in getting the event to start on time, it did not take away the excitement and full participation of the audience. The musicians delivered their best on the night. The event stood out for the rich diversity of its audience and the sense of community and fellowship. Testimonies were shared and prayers were offered, to strengthen the faith of the audience. The event emphasised the belief that praise and worship is not just an act but a lifestyle. It encouraged participants to carry the spirit of praise into their daily lives. As the curtains closed on the 2024 Feast of Judah, the audience left with a joyful countenance and renewed faith. Feast of Judah 2024 edition was a gathering for believers to give God their highest praise and worship, and in return, leave with their hearts inspired and yielded to God and a joyful countenance, and it did just that. The event also reinforced its dominance in praise in the city of Coventry, and we anticipate a better 2025 edition.
