Whether people know it or not celebrating Halloween also means celebrating darkness. No matter how much you try and disguise it.
As children of God, we who have been called out of darkness and into His marvellous light are called to proclaim it: shout it, declare it, and share it. So youth department of London Miracle Centre (LMC), Mount Zion are going to do just that! They’re proclaiming the Light that is Christ. And they want that light to shine bright.
LMC youth department have put together an event on the same day as Halloween, providing a Christian alternative for those looking to party on Halloween. They have a good track record of putting on great events for many years (True Love Waits, Colours of Praise, Funky Fresh, Throw Ya Handz up etc). Glow 2014 is an opportunity for young Christians to show the world Light on a ‘dark night’. Not purely to oppose it but to offer an alternative, a Christian alternative.
Don’t participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. (Ephesians 5:7-12 NLT)
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

So we are not only going to share the Light… It’s going to GLOW and shine so bright to all who come. Are you and your youth ready to Glow?
Glow 2014 is a DJ-led club night or as we like to call it “praise party”, targeting young people both inside and outside the Church. The event will run from 7pm-11pm and it will be held in the Dome, London Miracle Centre, in North London (Marsh Lane, Tottenham, London N17 0UX)
Christian DJs on the night will include DJ Kelechi and DJ Selenki. And there will be live performances from Guvna B, Twelve24, A Star, J Vessel and Adam & Kid.
They’ll have refreshments, drinks, giveaways and prizes, plus so much more.
The organisers of Glow 2014 had this to say about the event, “We want to encourage young Christians that there are fun Christian alternatives to everything, including Halloween. We want to literally Light up that dark night and bring salvation to all who need it.”
