AStepFWD has reached out to the family and church of Pastor Robert Guanco, who sadly lost his life following the tragic incident at Big Church Festival in West Sussex.
What began as a weekend bringing thousands of Christians together for worship, music and fellowship took a heartbreaking turn when a large sign fell at the festival site on Friday, 28 August. Pastor Robert died following the incident, while others were injured, leading to the cancellation of the remainder of the festival.
Pastor Robert served at Jesus Living Water Church in Eastbourne and leaves behind a family, church community and many who knew and loved him.
“Sharing the news on their Facebook page, the church spoke openly about the pain of the moment, saying they are “mourning, grieving, praying, and trusting in the Lord” as they come to terms with what has happened. Despite the heartbreak, they said they continue to trust in the sovereignty of God and take comfort in the belief that Pastor Robert is now home with the Lord.”
In reaching out, AStepFWD joined many across the Christian community in expressing our condolences and standing with his loved ones at this difficult time.
