Another week, another Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart, and drum roll please, we have a brand-new No.1. This week brings a major shake-up right from the top, with two brand-new songs entering straight at No.1 and No.2, six new entries in total, no re-entries, and some strong movement across the Top 20.
Leading the way this week is ‘Give Me Joy’ by Elle Limebear, which makes its debut at No.1. It is a big entrance for the song, going straight to the top in its first week on the chart. What a way to celebrate a new season for Elle Limebear, following her signing with Decca Records.
This also makes ‘Give Me Joy’ the ninth song to reach No.1 on the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart since it launched. Elle Limebear also becomes the third female chart-topper on the chart, following Chantelle Rutendo, who topped the chart with ‘My Heart Your Home’, and Ms Debola, who reached No.1 with ‘SOG (Song of Gratitude)’ featuring MIN.ADEOLUWA. Elle also becomes the second female solo artist to top the chart, after Chantelle Rutendo.
Following closely at No.2 is another new entry, ‘More Than Enough’ by Westwashere. With both No.1 and No.2 taken by brand-new songs, this week’s chart opens with a completely fresh Top 2.
Last week’s No.2, ‘Guide Me II’ by Culture Cnnct and SoundsDubetter, moves down to No.3 this week, while ‘Altar Call’ by MIN ADEOLUWA also enters the chart at No.4.
Last week’s No.1, ‘SOG (Song of Gratitude)’ by Ms Debola and MIN.ADEOLUWA, moves down to No.5 this week, but still remains inside the Top 5 after six weeks on the chart.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, ‘My Heart Your Home’ by Chantelle Rutendo moves to No.6, ‘Evergreen’ by Rend Collective sits at No.7, while ‘I Believe’ by Rich and Lydia Dicas/KXC climbs from No.14 to No.8. ‘My Love’ by CalledOut Music holds at No.9, and ‘Green Light’ by Reggie Dartey and Obed closes the Top 10 at No.10.
This week brings six new entries into the Top 20. ‘Give Me Joy’ by Elle Limebear enters at No.1, ‘More Than Enough’ by Westwashere enters at No.2, ‘Altar Call’ by MIN ADEOLUWA comes in at No.4, ‘Adoration’ by New Wine Worship and Joe Hardy enters at No.11, ‘What A Life’ by CalledOut Music enters at No.13, while ‘Runnin’ Back’ by Sam Hibbard and Lewis Haxton enters at No.18.
