The COVID-19 outbreak has left the world feeling uncertain and afraid. People everywhere are looking for hope amidst the darkness. Despite the encouraging messages from world leaders, the hope of the nations is as dim right now as faulty fairy lights. Where can the world find hope?

We know there are so many influential Christian poets in the UK with the ability to touch nations. There is a need for the creative poetry scene to thrive in such a time as this. People need a new message of hope and Christian poets have a Christ-Centred perspective to share hope with the world through poetry. My video above is just an example of what can be achieved even while stuck at home but just thinking outside the box a little. I hope every submission goes even further creatively.

The Presidential Challenge was launched by Poetic in association with aStepFWD. This challenge aims to give poets the opportunity to rise up to address the nation in a poetic speech and will have two phases across the next couple of weeks for all ages and Christian Poets.

The new deadline for the challenge is midnight on Wednesday 20th May. If you know any Creative Christian Poets and Spoken Word Artists, tag and share with them as they could be the inspiration the world needs right now!
