Just when we thought 2017 couldn’t start off any better, comes the news that former Humble Beast Records artist JGivens will be joining Christon Gray LIVE in London. The Zion Promotions (Jonathan McReynolds Live in 2016) show takes place on the 28th January 2017 at St Mary’s (see flyer below).
JGivens’ music career started in 2008, with the release of his debut studio album, “Run” in 2011. His subsequent studio album, “El v. Envy”, was released two years after and in September 2015 his label debut album, “Fly Exam”, was released by Humble Beast Records. “Fly Exam” became critically acclaimed and debuted at No. 19 on Billboard’s Rap Albums chart, even with its free availability on Humble Beast’s website.
The Las Vegas based rapper has had multiple high profile features including ‘How Did We get Here’ with Propaganda; ‘Better’ with Jackie Hill Perry; ‘#SameTeam’ with Swoope; ‘Wanna’ with Christon Gray and ‘Misconceptions 3’ from Lecrae‘s mixtape, “Church Clothes 3”.
JGivens stated, “I use my mechanical engineering degree to make hip hop music for a homeless zombie man who makes dope from dust.” His social media further explains, “I’m not doing what I initially went to college to do. My original plan got hijacked by a homeless rabbi”.
With both artists receiving Rapzilla’s Best Artist nominations ie. JGivens in 2015 and Christon Gray in 2016, expect an explosive show, as Christon ticks London off the top of his bucket list!
