CeCe Winans is one of those voices that has continued to carry gospel music with grace, excellence and a sound that points people back to Jesus. Over the years, her music has blessed generations, with songs that have become part of the worship life of many believers around the world.

Now, she returns with “The Hymns“, a beautiful 17-track collection of timeless songs that have been sung in churches, homes and gatherings for many years. These are songs many people grew up with, and for others, songs they are still discovering today.

Before the release, CeCe shared on her Instagram page how much the project means to her. She spoke about how these songs have carried the truth of Jesus for generations, and also prayed that the album would remind listeners of God’s faithfulness, His goodness and the hope we have in Christ Jesus.

The album includes well-known hymns such as Amazing Grace, Blessed Assurance, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, How Great Thou Art, It Is Well, I Surrender All, Just As I Am, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, Nothing But The Blood, There Is A Fountain, I Need Thee, Jesus Loves Me and more.

One thing about hymns is that they do not really fade. The sound may change, the generation may change, but the message remains strong. They still speak about the blood of Jesus, the faithfulness of God, surrender, grace, prayer and the peace we have in Christ.

With “The Hymns“, CeCe Winans gives listeners a chance to sit again with songs that have helped shape the faith of many believers. For some, it will bring back memories. For others, it may be their first real encounter with these songs.
