Battle of Harmonies Heats Up at UGCY 2025 – 13th Annual University Gospel Choir of the Year Competition

Student choirs from all over the UK will be gathering to perform at the nail biting University Gospel Choir of the Year competition on Sat 22nd March, each hoping to secure the top spot to return victoriously to their alma mater with the coveted title.

University Gospel Choir of the Year, founded in 2011 by Lorraine Wright MBE and inspired by the film ‘Sister Act’, provides an opportunity for uni gospel choirs to perform in front of top gospel music judges before an interactive live audience.

UGCY 2025 is in partnership with AStepFWD, a multi-media platform organisation now in its tenth year, that curates the monthly UK Christian Charts (the only national independent music charting system in the UK) along with initiatives such as the iMPACT Conference for creatives, Artist Relief Fund, Poets In Autumn World Tour and the annual StepFWD Awards along with many other trailblazing initiatives.

The wait is over! The University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) is proud to announce the 10 exceptional choirs that have made it to the finals of UGCY 2025. These incredible talents will perform at the highly anticipated UGCY finals on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, in London.

The Revival Gospel Choir – University of Leicester
