NeNe Vaughn-Moore, singer, songwriter, and multi-award-winning Gospel Recording
Artist was born and raised in Tallulah, Louisiana. She now resides in Vicksburg,
Mississippi. This year, NeNe won National New Artist of the Year and National Female Soloist of
the Year at the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards(TGMEA). NeNe
started singing at the tender age of 13. She performed in high school Talent Shows.
She also traveled and sang with the Reuben McCall High School Stage Band. NeNe
performed the National Anthem at several of the Reuben McCall High School football
games. Some of the Artists that were influential in her life were Shirley Caesar, Deleon
Richards-Sheffield, Andrae and Sandra Crouch, Deniece Williams, CeCe Winans,
Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey. NeNe soon started to fall away from God as she
started hanging out with the wrong crowd. She felt the Spirit of God tugging on her heart
to come closer to Jesus, but she ran away from the call of God. After losing her mother
to a battle with cancer at the age of 17, it was a turning point for her. She realized she
could no longer run from the Presence of Almighty God. At 18, NeNe re-dedicated her
life to the Lord and soon discovered her call to the Music Ministry. She started writing
poetry which soon developed into songwriting. Songs started to come, one after the
other. God began to give her songs in dreams and put different melodies in her heart
and spirit. NeNe has a deep love and passion for God. She desires to use her gift to
bring glory to God and usher His people into His presence. One of NeNe’s songs, “The
Name” was featured on the Triumph Church Choir CD, “Our Song of Praise,” that was
recorded live in Vicksburg, Mississippi, in 2007. NeNe released her first Gospel Album,
“Jesus Be Alive in Me,” in March of 2011. NeNe released her sophomore album, “I Just
Wanna Praise”, in March of 2023. Her album can be purchased on CDBABY, ITunes,
