Annette B:
Multi-award-winning gospel reggae artist Annette B, born with a passion for music, began her illustrious career as a secular reggae artist. Her initial foray into the music world was marked by notable hits like Fairy Godmother and I Found Love, which became staples on major UK radio stations. Her unique sound and captivating performances earned her live TV appearances, including coverage on BBC’s Children in Need and Ebony TV. Annette’s rich, melodic voice and ability to connect through song was recognised by leading labels such as Greensleeves, Charms Records, and Arwia, leading to an invitation by reggae legend Sir Clement Dodd producer of Bob Marley, to record with the legendary Studio One label at the iconic Studio One studio in the United States.
Despite her growing success, in 2001, Annette B experienced a profound spiritual transformation, leading her to fully embrace her Christian faith. This pivotal moment in her life marked a shift in her musical journey. After a brief hiatus, she returned in 2006 with a renewed mission: to use her voice and music to glorify God. Her 2013 gospel album, “When I Wake Up”, and tracks like ‘Pop God’s Style’ and ‘JOY’ have been influential in establishing the UK gospel reggae landscape.
Beyond her musical endeavors, Annette B is a significant force in promoting gospel music. She founded the GX Awards and GX (Gospel Xplosion), initiatives that support and showcase gospel talent across the UK and globally. As a radio and TV presenter, she hosts The Gospel Xplosion Radio Show, which broadcasts in the UK and USA, and won the “Best Internet Radio Show” at the Spin Awards in Atlanta in 2018.
Annette B’s contributions to music have not gone unnoticed. Her accolades include:

Best Female Reggae Gospel Artist at the Gospel Xplosion Music Media Awards UK
Akademia Award (LA) for Best Reggae Song
GAB Award (London) for Outstanding Contribution to Gospel Music
Murals of Birmingham Reggae Royalty (2022) tribute, alongside legends like UB40, Musical Youth and Steel Pulse

Annette B remains a vibrant and influential figure in the music industry, continually inspiring audiences with her powerful voice and unwavering faith and ability to blend soulful reggae rhythms with meaningful lyrics.
