‘March for Jesus’ Returns to London This Pentecost Weekend

Thousands of Christians invited to gather for public worship, prayer and celebration of Jesus in the capital.

LONDON, UK — Christians in London and across the UK are being invited to take part in the Jesus March, a major public celebration of Jesus, taking place in central London on Saturday 23 May 2026, from 2pm to 5pm. The event will begin near Marble Arch and, subject to final confirmation, proceed along Piccadilly before concluding with an extended time of worship and prayer in Trafalgar Square. The event details and route are published on the official website: www.jesusmarch.org

The historic March for Jesus movement first began in London in 1987 and grew into a Global Movement which has gone all over world and continues today. In recent years it has regathered momentum in many parts of Europe including Paris, Amsterdam, Dublin, Belfast and cities in Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Albania. We are inviting everyone to join us as we relaunch March for Jesus in London this Pentecost weekend – this time called the Jesus March!

The Jesus March is a joyful and united witness in the heart of the city during Pentecost weekend. The event is intended to bring believers together in public praise, prayer and hope, at a time when many churches are reporting renewed openness to the gospel and growing confidence in evangelism.

With the theme “Hope in our Hearts. Joy on the Streets.”, the Jesus March is designed as a visible expression of Christian unity across denominations, cultures and generations. Event leaders are inviting churches, ministries, families and individual believers to take part in what they describe as “a public and passionate celebration of Jesus” in the capital.

Importantly, the event is not a protest, not a political march, and not a platform for self-promotion. No political or national flags will be permitted, and the focus will remain solely on lifting up the name of Jesus in a spirit of worship, peace and public witness.

The Jesus March is being organised and hosted by Ichthus Christian Fellowship in partnership with other Christian ministries and churches. Ichthus say they would love to see the “breadth, depth and racial diversity” of the UK Church represented on the day.

Churches bringing 25 or more people are also being asked to provide a group steward and a qualified first aider to support event operations.

Believers and church leaders are encouraged to save the date, register their interest on the Jesus March website, and begin mobilising their congregations now.
