Calling all poets and spoken word artists!
We are excited to announce that video auditions are now open for Big Church Poetry Slam – brought to you by Big Church Festival, Urban Wordsmiths and AStepFWD.
For a chance to perform at Big Church Festival 2025, please audition by delivering a spoken word straight to camera.
Base it on the theme: Grace and Truth (inspired by John 1), and upload it using the form below.
It must be a one shot, one take and no longer than 2 minutes.
Deadline for submission is 12noon [NOW EXTENDED TO MIDNIGHT] on Monday, 30th June.
PLEASE NOTE: Auditions are open to anyone over 18. All participants must be prepared to perform their piece confidently, live in front of an audience at the Big Church Poetry Slam event in London on 5th July 2025 and potentially again at Poetry Slam on the Spoken Word Stage at Big Church Festival on 23rd August 2025. Big Church Festival, Urban Wordsmiths and AStepFWD may select performers at their discretion and are not obligated to provide feedback of any kind.
Uploaded performances will only be used/viewed by the above-named partners for this audition process. Performing at Big Church Festival by any participant(s) selected will be subject to contract. AStepFWD will contact participants using the email provided on the form below. If you do not respond promptly to any AStepFWD email about this audition, AStepFWD may, at its discretion, contact another participant instead.
All participants must still purchase a ticket for Big Church Poetry Slam on 5th July at KCBC London. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
