Sam Opeche is a prolific songwriter and a sought after worship leader with a unique blend of sound and lyrical content characterised by his desire to see people have a transformational worship experience with God.

This desire stems from his life changing experience with God on the 31st of December 1993 when he was on his way to a nightclub to perform. He met God in an unusual way as he fell into a state of trance and was shown the end of his journey if he continued to live a show boy’s life.

After this encounter it became evident to Sam that God had a divine purpose for his life. He did not make it to the nightclub but ended up in church and surrendered his life to Jesus at the dawn of the New Year 1994 .

His latest single “Praise The Lord” was produced by Goz who successfully runs The Worship Company. Goz is a well sought after producer who is on the Integrity Music roaster and has produced numerous records for the only UK artist signed to Integrity Music.

Sam said the melody and lyrics of the song “Praise The Lord” began to flow on 20/06/20 when he drove into London from Essex for the first time after 4 months in lockdown. He was struck by the empty London streets and how there’s yet life behind the emptiness. It was this thought that awoke the melodies “your tender mercy will never leave me”.

Sam is an associate Pastor at The Redeemed Christian church of God, Living Spring Centre, London. He is married to Elizabeth and they are blessed with 3 wonderful children.
