Philippa Hanna is the 2nd female artist to have a #1 track in UK Chart

Philippa Hanna made history by becoming the 2nd female artist ever to have a #1 track in the monthly Step FWD UK Christian Chart with tribute song ‘Million Flowers’.

Philippa Hanna’s first entry into the UK Christian Chart Top 10 was back in March 2014 when she held the #4 spot with the beautiful song ‘New for Old’ from her album ‘Through The Woods’.

Her most recent entry ‘Million Flowers’ went straight to #1 in the August Top 10 after responses in from over 90 industry pundits plus hundreds of public votes, making her the 2nd female artist ever to have a number one track in the UK Christian Chart which has been running consecutively now for 17 months. The only other female to have a number one is Rachel Kerr in December 2014 with ‘First Noel’.

Philippa has strong roots in the UK music scene and is hailed as one of the most engaging and inspiring singer/songwriters in the country. Even as a child she knew music was all she wanted to do.

With roots in a very musical family, she has gone on, since finding the Christian faith in 2004, to do over 150 shows each year and there doesn’t seem to be any letting up as she is in more demand now than ever before. Philippa previously supported megastar Lionel Ritchie on his UK arena tour and apart from her own headline tour, supported X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson’s tour last year.

Philippa Hanna is currently the highlight artist for Rocket Fuel, a new crowd-funding initiative that allows her fans to support her financially, get early access to her new material and share in her journey.

Recently we had the pleasure of catching her live at Worship Leader Aaron T Aaron’s DOXAZO event and was again enthralled by her passionate presence and stunning ability to usher everyone instantly into a place of worship and praise.

aStepFWD would like to once again congratulate Philippa and welcome her into our history books once again. Check out her response below.
