The Word & Worship Conference 2020 due to take place today 14th March at St Paul’s Hammersmith is now POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This decision wasn’t taken lightly and due to concerns expressed by partners, colleagues, ticket holders and the team, we felt it was the right thing to do at this time.
As you may know, the COVID-19 virus has been officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson after yesterday’s emergency COBRA Meeting announced that the UK is now in the second phase of ‘delay’ as it was no longer possible to contain coronavirus.
With close monitoring of government guidelines and recommendations, we feel that NOT going ahead with today’s event is the safe and responsible thing to do as an organisation to protect those who would otherwise have attended.
The aim of the conference was to facilitate the discussion and exploration of digital options and opportunities for the future. We believe the theme ‘Redefining for the digital age’ is very relevant in light of the global situation at the moment and will endeavour to find creative and safe ways of enabling dialogue and conversation over the coming weeks.
Thanks also for being patient with us in what is a unique situation facing this nation and indeed the world. We pray for your safety and that of your families and loved ones at this time especially the elderly.
