One of the UK’s finest and most long-standing Gospel choirs John Fisher & IDMC deliver on outstanding song and the title track from their Walk With Me: Live & Phaat Vol. 3 One of 12 tracks on the new album, Walk With Me is co-written by well known producer Nicky Brown.
Since 1994 IDMC (Individuals Dedicated to the Ministry of Christ) have continued to be leaders in their chosen field as a innovative gospel unit. Led by Gospel music icon and legend John Fisher, IDMC recently delivered their 9th album of original songs penned by John with co-writers Nicky Brown, John Campbell and Danny Thomas.
Recorded live at the Iconic London venue, The Jazz Cafe, in front of a packed house of IDMC fans and gospel music lovers, the album captures the infectious vibe of some great music and the charged atmosphere.
The album contains songs that have a very contemporary edge while not departing from it’s gospel roots using harmony and song structures that are pleasing to the ear.
We spoke to both John Fisher and Nicky Brown and were amazed to learn that Nicky had penned the title track ‘Walk With Me’ almost 20 years ago for a project John was involved in. John loved the hook and used that, adding some verses and the rest as they say is history. Good music truly stands the test of time.
With powerful funky tracks such as ‘I Worship You’, ‘Jesus Came to Love Us’, I Press, and ‘Victorious’ along with soulful ballads such as ‘In Your Presence’, ‘Still Small Voice’ and ‘Love Lifted Me’ you’re going to love playing this album out loud. A beautiful studio version another ballad ‘Cry’ is also on the playlist as is a classic from IDMC ‘Only Jesus’ remastered for this project.
The album also features a song from long time member and right hand man Courtney Hoilett called ‘Save Me’ which he previously released and has been remastered and added to the listing.

With so few choirs represented in the monthly charts we are pleased that not just one but 2 tracks, ‘Walk With Me’ and ‘Victorious’ were submitted to the May 2016 listing of the UK Christian Chart, which continues to highlight and showcase creative talent from across the UK and beyond.
