Vineyard Worship make a call for unity in new single ‘You Have Our Yes’

New Vineyard Worship song ‘You Have Our Yes’ could be condensed into three simple and yet profound words: Jesus is Lord. The new single is a call to unity in the face of increasing division, chaos and distraction which can so easily shift our focus from the Lordship of Christ. Inviting the people of God to offer their ‘yes’ and their full allegiance to Jesus, ‘You Have Our Yes’ unveils a beautiful soulful melody with country-rock accents nestled in the bridge.

An undeniable sense of serenity flows from the new single, stripping everything back to an honest expression of worship and giving it a ‘sung prayer’ feel.

The cross is our call and our only allegiance to Jesus our Lord
Our holy commitment in body and spirit
To honour you Jesus our Lord

Vineyard songwriter Harmony Smith shares that ‘You Have Our Yes’ had been brewing since her move to Belfast, Northern Ireland, 20 years ago: “This city and its people have taught me so much about reconciliation and healing [but also] tribalism and division. I long to see the walls in this city come down, and to see the church united in her declaration that Jesus is Lord!”

She co-wrote the new single with Integrity Music songwriters Rich DiCas and Marc James. Marc James has also historically played a significant part in early Vineyard UK&I recordings including Surrender (2000).

“Jesus says, ‘blessed are the peacemakers’, this song is dedicated to all the peacemakers in this city and beyond,” Harmony concludes. ‘You Have Our Yes’ comes out on all digital streaming platforms on June 4th. Video of a studio version featuring Marc James and Cathy Burton as well as an acoustic version featuring Rich DiCas will be released on the same day.
