The debut EP titled “I’m A New Man” from Vonte Grace is compiled of 6 tracks including 3 singles that have all been placed on editorial playlists on Spotify. This project allows Vonte’s audience to embark on a journey from life without hope and purpose, to enlightenment and fulfilment. Vonte has infused Drill and Grime to captivate a diverse audience; the project also contains a song that infuses RnB with a message of hope and restoration for those that feel lost and rejected.
From Gospel Drill to Grime and Rap, he has emerged this year making a lot of noise in the industry due to his lyrical content, wordplay, flows, and versatility as well as collaborations. Embedding his faith and story into his music, while still remaining relevant and appealing to a diversity of audiences, is something Vonte does very well. This year he has consistently released music as well as music videos on platforms such as GRM Daily and Gospel Hydration. Since his first release in March, so far, he has racked up 64,200 views in YouTube and 55,890 streams on Spotify. He has also been featured in multiple editorial Spotify playlists and remains in many to this day. Vonte is also a theologian, missionary and evangelist who has witnessed thousands give their lives to Jesus and encounter God’s transformational healing power. From missionary trips to Romania, Uganda and South Africa, to local outreach on the streets of Manchester, schools and prisons, Vonte has been involved in full time ministry for the last 7 years.
It is this time and experience that has provided the inspiration and content for Vonte’s first ever EP. He has worked with various producers for “I’m A New Man” including producing his own currently most-streamed collaboration song ‘In The Garden’ featuring award-winning gospel artist Reblah. Vonte also chose to work with super-talented producer R-Scar to mix and master the project, enhancing each song sonically to appeal to a larger audience and giving the project the clarity and translation needed to captivate even the most critical of ears in the industry.
