The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel – Screening + Panel Discussion tonight

I hope you are as excited as we are with the up-and-coming free screening for The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel (Dir. Christine Swanson) this Friday 18th June from 18:30 – 20:45 BST followed by a post-screening discussion with a distinguished panel of gospel music specialists.

The Clark Sisters were born and raised in Detroit to musician and choral director Mattie Moss Clark and have been a part of the Gospel music industry since 1966. Their biggest hits include ‘Is My Living in Vain?’, ‘Jesus Is a Love Song’ and ‘You Brought the Sunshine’.

This movie released in 2020 details the humble beginnings of this iconic family and their rise to be the pioneers of the Gospel music industry we know them to be. Directed by Christine Swanson with Executive Producers Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Loretha Jones and Holly Carter with writers Sylvia L. Jones and Camille Tucker.
