The incredibly creative artist JP Cooper recently released a moving visual for the song ‘Closer’ from his EP – ‘When The Darkness Comes’.
In what is JP Cooper’s first official music video, we are not only provided with beautiful shots and stills as well as his incredible voice; but also an emotional and captivating story that addresses mental illness and death.
The intimacy and willing vulnerability of JP Cooper’s music is also clearly carried across into the video as “Closer’ is rooted in JP Cooper addressing his longing to be with his infant son.” – he told Clash.
Although the single officially released last year, JP Cooper’s smooth vocals and hope-filled lyrics along with this new incredible visual means that the single still feels fresh, and as though it may never come off repeat.
