Distinct recently released their EP ‘I’m Free’, featuring well-known artists J Williams, A Star, Triple O and Trent. The duo has been making waves in the scene for a while now, and their latest EP really shows their progression.
From the opening line of the title track ‘I’m Free’, you can really see Natty’s passion for Jesus, as well as music. He writes “on my own I’m worthless, freedom; I don’t deserve it” and this gratitude and humility really sets up the rest of the song.
J Williams then kills the hook before Truthz delivers, “He gave us life, even though the life that we live is wrong”. Throughout the song you can clearly see the maturity in their lyricism, as well as in their delivery. Following this, Astar goes off with a crazy flow before the track comes to a close with the hook. The EP is also notably well produced, mixed and professionally delivered.
The EP contains the title track, a remix of the title track featuring Trent and Triple O, a remix by the producer ‘Zen’ and then the instrumental.
