a Step FWD and ready for 5th anniversary celebration event on Friday March 29th!

In 2014, a group of young, vibrant Christians across the UK joined together in unity to bring a groundbreaking vision to life, under the leadership of O’Neil Dennis. That vision was ‘created out of the hope to see more millennials renew their commitment to (or be brought into contact with) the Christian faith’. Subsequently, out of this desire, aStepFWD was birthed – along with the UK Christian Chart (UKCC).

Over the past five years, aStepFWD and its brainchild (UKCC) have become a key staple in British Christian and Gospel Music. From curating the monthly singles chart (which on its own has been a major discovery tool for new music within the genre), to hosting and promoting events (including the annual Poets In Autumn Tour), to providing marketing and promotion for Christian Artists, Personnel and Organisations – aStepFWD have undoubtedly made significant contributions to the scene and continue to make strides to bring this vision to life. To give an overview, to date, the UK Christian Chart has received over 1700 new tracks by UK Christian & Gospel talent, showcased over 580 Top Ten tracks from the genres, over a period of 58 months.

In reflection of this huge milestone, aStepFWD will be commemorating their fifth anniversary in the form of a live night of music, entertainment and celebration on Friday March 29th, 2019 at Kensington Temple, London – from 6pm. The night will feature a solid line-up of artists that have hit the UKCC #1 spot of the past 5 years – all performing the tracks that landed them atop the list.

Promising to be a monumental event, confirmed acts include Southville, The Plan, Lion of Judah, JUMPMVA Winner & Afro-Gospel Artist Andrew Bello, internationally-renowned and acclaimed worship leader Noel Robinson, MOBO Award Winner Lurine Cato, Dire Pitan, KT Worship, Rocket Music Artist Jake Isaac, and more.

Speaking on the StepFWD journey thus far, Founder O’Neil Dennis said:

It’s been a tremendous journey over the last five years. We at aStepFWD have been humbled by the immense support we have received as we continue to push and promote the countless great initiatives and talent within UK Christendom. We’re thankful for the opportunity to serve such a vibrant community and are looking forward to celebrating with you all on March 29th. Here’s to the next five years of growth!”.
