Hey, did you miss us? Time has just flown by and we are delighted to announce the annual Step FWD Awards; the biggest celebration of the year for the Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) and Gospel Music scenes in the UK. Clear your diary for 26th of November 2022, when Step FWD Awards returns for another unmissable evening showcasing the incredible artists that have topped the UK Christian Charts for the past twelve months.
Following the huge success of last years’ inaugural event, Step FWD Awards are upping the ante with a NEW venue announcement with increased capacity for a bigger and bolder event in 2022. For the many Christian & Gospel music champions, only the best will do and that can only mean one place: The Gaumont State Theatre, an iconic Grade II* listed Art Deco building in Kilburn, reminiscent of the Empire State Building in New York, which will provide a suitably grand backdrop for this years’ celebration.
The Gaumont State Theatre first opened in 1937 as the one of the largest of its kind in Europe, with seating capacity of 4,000. Over the years it has fittingly also served as a high profile music venue, hosting classic names such as Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Buddy Holly and Ella Fitzgerald to mention a few. The architecture and interiors speak of a bygone golden era of Hollywood glamour. This beautiful old dame of a building was eventually retired as a cinema with an inevitable fall from grace into a Bingo Hall and subsequently rescued by Ruach City Church, returning its dignity by repurposing it as place of worship.
Bridging the gap between various musical styles and genres, the Step FWD Awards will once again be recognising the best talent from across the board, featuring categories as varied as Reggae, Contemporary Worship and Pop to name but a few. With its main focus of honouring, inspired by Romans 12: 10, these awards will include finalists for this years’ categories along with an incredible lineup of artists performing on the night, featuring the biggest names on the scene. Step FWD Awards 2022 is an unparalleled evening of celebration, honour and music you do not want to miss. Grab your tickets today!
