Sarah Teibo is a fresh voice on the British Gospel horizon and Steve Alexander Smith asks a few short questions to the new British Gospel artist who is admired by non other than the Queen of British Gospel Lurine Cato.
As I began to grow as an artist, I drew a lot of inspiration from Kim Burrell, where musical versatility is concerned and Fred Hammond where song writing is concerned.
What is your earliest childhood musical memory?
In my early childhood I would listen and sing along to classical Motown music with my mom.
Great music moment?
My greatest music moment has to be when Mary Mary came to our church and stood up when I started singing. At that moment I knew I had something special.
Tell us about the music
First single from my debut album to be released in the winter ‘Steal My Joy’ is due out on the 1st of November 2015.
