Reach Records has dropped a brand new track featuring the label’s newest members Hulvey and Wande titled ‘Still 40 Deep’ which is available now. The song gives a modern spin on the original song ’40 Deep’ recorded in 2010 by Lecrae, Trip Lee and Tedashii featured on Lecrae’s Grammy & Dove nominated album “Rehab”.
“‘Still 40 Deep’ is dope because it embodies what it’s like to fellowship with other believers who are young, urban, and unashamed,” shares Wande. “As a new generation we bring new blood and energy to the scene but the heart behind why we do music still remains the same; to spread the gospel.”
She continues, “116 has grown and you can meet people all around the world who are unashamed, ‘40 deep’ doesn’t just represent our immediate friends, but our unashamed family all around the globe.”
Written by Hulvey, Wande, Ryan Bert, Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee, John Williams and Graham Stiefel, the hip hop track was produced by Carvello and co-produced by 100 Graham.
“I grew up a 116 fan and loved the song ‘40 Deep’ and wanted to flip it and give it a fresh feel,” says Hulvey. “This song is for all the people who loved that song as much as I did.”
