Police officer/artist returns with new song of praise after battle with Covid-19

After a life-threatening battle with Covid-19 National recording artist Marcus Jordan prepped to release his new album titled “Call On The Name” on June 22nd. Marcus’s lead single of this sophomore album is the upbeat worship anthem ‘I Will Bless Your Name’ which is impacting radio now. The single was first performed by Marcus Jordan during Churchin with Marcus Jordan, where Earnest Pugh was the special guest. Marcus planned to sing just a snippet of the song but Pugh and his manager Keith Williams wanted to hear more.

Marcus is a singer/songwriter, Pastor and Law Enforcement Officer based out of Houston TX. He’s been part of Music World Entertainment House band. There he worked with artist Solange Knowles and IB3. This experience gave him the encouragement needed to pursue his career as a professional gospel artist.

In 2018 Marcus’ debut single charted at #58 at Billboard. In 2019 he presented at the 34th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, performed live at the 25th Essence Festival and interviewed with Sirius XM’S Meta Washington. His 3rd album “Give God The Glory” reached #1 on Nielsen BDS Internet Gospel Radio Panel.

As with many 2020 brought new challenges and obstacles for Marcus. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 with pneumonia and spent over 2 weeks in the Intensive Care Unit fighting for his life. During this time of isolation, his new album titled “Call On The Name” was birthed.

“Call On The Name” takes listeners on a musical journey with its soul-stirring vocals, catchy melodies, constant reminders of who God is and how he deserves our praise.”

For Marcus singing songs of praise to God when he couldn’t sing a whisper is what helped him through the toughest time of his life. His prayer is that this album encourages and reminds others of God’s omnipresence and faithfulness.

Fans will be able to download and stream the new project “I Will Bless Your Name” from June 22nd on all digital outlets!
