Our hearts go out to the friends and family of those killed in yesterday’s train derailment in the Galicia area of Spain.
A least 77 of 218 passengers were killed and more than 100 injured according to officials in the Galicia region.
All eight carriages of the Madrid to Ferrol train came off the tracks near the city of Santiago de Compostela. Reports claim that the train may have been travelling at more than twice the speed limit around a curve. Officials have not commented on the cause but it is reported to be the worst train accident in Spain in 40 years.
Step FWD joins with Christians all over the world in praying for those who have lost loved ones and friends in this terrible and tragic accident.
