Award-winning 14-year-old Lifted Joshua a pianist, singer, songwriter and producer. Joshua and award-winning 14-year-old sister Alice, a saxophonist/songwriter explodes onto the gospel music scene with a pulsating contemporary 7 track gospel album.
Both Alice and Joshua form the ALifted gospel duo, with a mission to spread the good news through writing songs, singing and playing the piano and saxophone. The lead vocalist Lifted has been playing the piano and singing for over 4 years now, while Alice has been playing the saxophone for 3 years on a daily basis. When asked what inspired them to form a gospel duo, Lifted said, “We wanted to be able to use our talents in a positive way and to spread the gospel and make a change to our generation through music.”
Alifted are currently in the studio recording their second album titled “Prophetic Vitamins“ which is a going to be a gospel album with 12 tracks. “Triple Blessing” was the first album from Alifted including songs such as ‘Vineyard of Grace’, ‘Maami’ (my mum), ‘Sax Praise’ ft. Funmisax, ‘Jazz Praise’, ‘Triple Blessing’ (featuring the entire family of 5) and many more other tracks. The gospel album is a combination of sax praise and worship, contemporary gospel, acoustic piano worship, reggae worship and afro beats.
On this debut album, ALifted really had the chance to showcase their skill and potential by self-producing two ‘Glorious Cook of Heaven’ and ‘What a Bliss’. The rest of the songs were produced by Seun Oke and Marcus Inner Productions. Alifted’s music videos was a success on social media with 650,000+ views on Facebook including 10,000 shares, over 15,000 likes, and over 900 positive comments.
The two siblings were born into a family of musicians and have the full support of their parents. Their mother Joke Joshua has been a gospel singer for 20 years and their father Dele Joshua is an accomplished gospel saxophonist and a talented songwriter. Their 8-year-old brother Faithful is also following in their footsteps and has recently released his own rap song titled Trinity.
