Music & tech entrepreneur Anthony David King confirmed for MaMC 2017

We are excited to announce another of our special guests, Anthony David King for the 2nd annual Music & Media Conference. Hosted by aStepFWD and following on from a very successful inauguration last year, this MaMC takes place at the prestigious University of Westminster, Marylebone Campus on Sept. 23rd.

Anthony is the Founder of Anthony David King Ventures which develops and runs venture programmes for start-ups, organisations and investors – including partners like Silicon Valley and Techstars Startup Weekend.

Anthony started out in the music industry in 2001, marketing global artists and brands to 17 million fans and discovered how innovation and investment played a huge role in their success. So in 2011, he launched Anthony David King Ventures – to develop new ventures and start-up programmes that address big challenges in society. Today, these programmes include more than 200 start-ups across tech, music and entertainment and more, spanning 15 cities and engaging millions of people every year.

This includes the BPI Innovation Hub, developed in partnership with the British Phonographic Industry – the organisation that represents the UK recorded music industry worldwide and runs The BRIT Awards – building partnerships between innovative tech start-ups and record labels. It is now one of the largest music focused tech start-up hubs in Europe, with more than 40 start-ups and 20 labels.

Anthony is also the creator of Music Venture V, a music venture incubator programme providing music artists, creators and founders with the invaluable mentorship, industry connections, entrepreneurial inspiration and access to some of the world’s most exciting and emerging music tech companies – the next Spotify’s and digital platforms – to take music ventures to a whole new level.  The programme currently supports the renowned BRIT School, famous for its talented alumni such as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jessie J and many others.

Speaking to StepFWD about the event, Anthony said: “I’m delighted to support this year’s Music & Media Conference. As the future of the music and media industry converge with technology, our understanding of their new business models are more vital than ever. And events such as this provide the necessary platform and opportunity to connect and learn how to navigate this future, and our purpose in it.”

Joining Anthony at the Music & Media Conference 2017 will be Lauren Evans and a variety of Music Executives and Creatives who will be delivering Presentations, Panel Discussions and Q&A Sessions; educating delegates on the current state and future of the Music and Media Industries and more.
