Speaking about the inspiration behind ’10 Toes‘, J Vessel says, “In London we have this phrase “10 Toes” which is slang for being on your grind and working hard for the goals you want to achieve. My Dad taught me from a very young age to go after what I want in life and not stop until I get it.”
He continues, “My faith however encourages me to look past material possessions and earthly achievements (even if they are for good reason) and focus on things that have deeper meaning, like my relationship with God, family and friends. This song is about not becoming too engrossed in the grind and the things of this world that you forget what’s ultimately important and miss out.”
