Mission House unveils a special triple single, ‘Faith More Precious Than Gold, Everything In Your Hands + Suscipe‘ that together expound on the theme of surrender. The first song takes worshippers to the depth of reliance on God, embracing the dichotomy that the pearl of greatest price is often found in moments of pain. “There are treasures in the dark of our lives,” said Jess Ray, echoed by Taylor Leonhardt who added that, “an underground river of joy runs in the life of a person who has been befriended by God.” The release’s second title is a song of gratitude and acceptance, encouraging us to realize that everything we have has been given.
With the last piece of this triple single, Mission House developed a St. Ignatius prayer called “Suscipe” – meaning “to receive” in Latin – into a beautiful song of abandonment to the Lord. The closing piece worshipfully describes the goodness of God in the giving and the taking away. This special release introduces three surrender songs back-to-back as lifelong lessons that we can come back to.
