Mike Jariyaphruttipong, guitarist, songwriter and composer, has this September released his debut single, ‘Sunny Spring’ featuring John Connearn. Having recently completed his degree at Nexus Institute of Creative Arts in Coventry and nearing the end of his Master’s degree in Popular Music Performance, Mike is excited to be sharing his music with the world, starting with this energetic, guitar-led instrumental.
Growing up in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Mike picked up the guitar at a young age and quickly got involved in serving at his church in the worship band. But one thing that caught his attention and interest early on, was songwriting and composing. Since moving to the UK to pursue his calling and passion in developing his musical gifts, he took this opportunity to develop his songwriting/composing skills, even more, being involved in writing songs for multiple original musicals, worship songs, and even for his band KISH, who released their first EP late last year. However, this time, he has released his first original track under his own name as an artist, along with a good friend and fellow guitarist John Connearn.
‘Sunny Spring’ expresses the positive and energetic feelings of being under the bright sky on a hot day. It is a mix of both acoustic and digital instrumentations, this song may sit comfortably between the two sides of popular music arrangements. Packed with electric guitar-led solos, synth keyboards, guest appearance, non-diatonic progressions and trading solos, this song will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! Mike is also excited to have worked alongside the amazingly talented guitarist John Connearn, who has also just recently released two amazing singles earlier this year.
