‘Who you are’ is the second international single by the Swedish artist and worship leader Johan Åsgärde.
In the fall of 2017, Johan co-wrote a lot of songs that were coloured by an encounter he had with the Lord that same year that freed him from depression. Most of the songs are centred around the theme of our identity in Christ and a call for our surrender to His perfect love. ‘Who you are’ is a prayerful testament to Johan’s own experience at the same time as it testifies about God’s character, to His faithfulness and mercy.
‘Who you are’ is the second single out of 3 coming out during the summer of 2024. Meanwhile, Johan is working together with his team on more songs to be released in the fall of this year.
“I hope this song awakens you to the beauty and simplicity of the gospel and God’s unconditional love,” he says.
