Jimmy Needham with his special take on popular hymn ‘How Great Thou Art’ which was voted the United Kingdom’s favorite hymn by BBC’s Songs of Praise.
‘How Great Thou Art’ is a Christian hymn based on a Swedish poem written by Carl Gustav Boberg in 1885 and has a Swedish folk song melody. British missionary Stuart K. Hine added two original verses of his own composition after translating it into English. These make up the version we know today.
