JET has released a second Hip-Hopumentary track entitled ‘What Ya Dancing For / Wake Up and Wash‘. The song is a blend of African Drums and Hip Hop Afro Boom Bap Beats, with a message of Justice and salvation at the core. Speaking on the track, JET says: “This presentation has been a heart cry from us, especially within the current climate where there has been injustice and slavery, we felt something had to be said. We feel God is telling us to not only enjoy and dance but also set free the oppressed so they can dance with us, thus the theme ‘What are you dancing for’.” JET is an evangelistic humanitarian music project coordinated by Pastor Yinka and his team. It’s a musical project which has the aim of bringing the gospel to the community and also raise money for humanitarian ministries and outreach in the poorer parts of the globe. Pastor Yinka is a veteran in the U.K. Hip-Hop scene, at first in the secular arena as a freestyle MC in the 90s, and also in Urban Gospel in the early noughties. His dramatic conversion and fire for the gospel has given him fervour to know Jesus more and make him known using street outreaches, festivals, media programmes and missions as well as music. He sees these as platforms to fulfil the great commission. As an associate Pastor of Joy House London Pastor Yinka conducts evangelism training as well community outreach with the local churches and has a desire to see the church mobilised into outreach. JET is a collaborative project done with Joy House Evangelism Team with other artists and ministers to bring the straight gospel message. The aim of the project is to connect the church with the community and bring the salvation of Jesus through the gospel to the world.
