INTRODUCING… New UK rap group ZAA with track ‘Saved By Grace’

New kids on the block ZAA Music have launched with some serious fire and much charisma to back it up in latest track ‘Saved By Grace’. ZAA stands for Zealously Affected Always, a name referenced from Galations 4:18 and credited to a leader in the church which all 5 artists attend. Group members Edz, Big J, Dre, Mikez & J Star are aged between 17 – 22 years and hail from South London. Their track was submitted to the April listing of the UK Christian Chart and as always we get excited when we come across new and upcoming talent; so we got in touch to have a quick chat about the group and music. We spoke to Edz who mentioned he had been rapping for under 2 years. When asked about the groups experience of the UK music scene he mentioned, “We’ve gotten a lot of support since we started from our church, family and friends and look forward to even more awareness in the coming months”. With mixed nationalities at play; 3 members from Jamaica, 1 Nigerian/Bajan mix and Edz representing Sierra Leone, musical tastes and influences can be wide and varied. Edz seems to believe, however, that this is an asset and with their mission to reach the unsaved youths across the UK and beyond, we would agree with him. Naming well known and respected artist Guvna B as one of their inspirations is also indicative of the fact that this ‘band of five’ are determined to unashamedly put the work in way beyond the ‘four walls’. With so much modern day pressure on young adults and especially males, we look forward to hearing more from these emerging artists and role models.
