Most recent official music video from vibrant multi-instrumentalist folk band The Meadows is titled ‘Brigg Fair’. Bringing cutting-edge techniques and an exciting, contemporary vibe to every show, the band perform original works which weave between foot stomping reels to rich vocal harmonies, taking their audiences on an spellbinding journey.
The band, all drawn from one family released their debut EP “Through the Fayre” and performed at festivals, folk clubs and events across the UK, including their very successful 2017 stage show ‘Celtic Journey’ alongside Krystin Murphy from Maine and they have performed on radio and T.V.
Several of the their original works have debuted on BBC radio. They have been classically-trained under the tutelage of some of Britain’s finest musicians including Prof. Barry Haskey (retired leader of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales), Matthew Featherstone (BBC NOW Principle Flute), Christopher Williams (BBC NOW & W.N.O., piano), the late Eva Stewart (BBC NOW Principle Piccolo), Marie-Christine Zupancic (CBSO Principle Flute) and the world-renowned contemporary flute composer Prof. Ian Clarke (Guildhall).
With a recent submission to the UK Christian Chart, this talented family folk band will sit alongside a 400+ strong list Christians who also happen to be fantastically musically gifted. See below some of the accolades they have amassed:
