Manchester’s freshest rising star – Akin – shines brightly with the release of his debut single ‘Questions’. The singer, songwriter and producer delivers this beautiful RnB/soul track with immaculate vocals ebbing and flowing silkily over well crafted lyrics.
Akin’s music loving father (who is also a choir director and music lecturer) had a major role in shaping the singers musical destiny. Under his watchful eye no doubt, Akin has now emerged as a multi-instrumentalist majoring in voice, saxophone, and keyboard to name a few, and a student of Jazz at Leeds College of Music.
Intrigued by the sounds of Jazz, RnB, and Gospel music, Akin draws his musical inspiration from the likes of Brandy, Mali Music, Jill Scott and JP Cooper to name a few. He is also heavily inspired by his faith and hopes that his music helps listeners experience God. The future looks bright indeed for young Akin.
‘Questions’ was submitted to the June 2016 listing of the UK Christian Chart, which champions the diverse musical landscape the UK has to offer.
