People will often tell you that if you attend University, it will possibly be the period in which you experience the most growth.
What they may not tell you is that growth does not come without growing pains.
As a student of history, I experienced “the stuff you learnt last year was wrong; this is what happened” every year until my second year. After first year what you learnt is not dismissed as wrong, but is challenged by other theories. The basic history behind events is usually accepted.
Personally I found that many events throughout the history of our civilisation, especially those surrounding the spread of Christianity, were extremely hard to stomach and brought about real challenges to my faith, some of which I struggle with to this day.
When reflecting on the struggles you have with your faith, do you shrink away from them or face them head on?
