Born again Christian rapper ANON recently released his first professional body of work as a taster of what’s to come from him. ANON is an exceptional UK Gospel music artist from the East of England. He grew up in Essex and was born onto a journey that would see him put through his paces, through trials and tribulations and eventually onto his rightful path. The path of righteousness. ANON, real name Samuel Joseph, attended church on a regular basis whilst growing up with his mother, father and two brothers. He enjoyed learning of the messages from the bible and attended every Sunday. The trials, however, were yet to come. In his teenage years, Samuel was blind walked into a life of drink, drugs and chasing money, a common story in the new age. He would regularly make bad decisions with no regard for his own safety, or of the people closest to him. This was to have a knock on effect on his mental well being. He got desperate, but not for drink or drugs nor in fact for money. He was desperate for a way out of the evil that was all around him. ANON reached out to GOD… and GOD then answered. He was dragged from the wreckage that he himself had created and nudged towards a replenished life of good health and well being. So now ANON lives to fulfil his purpose; to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and spread the word of His holiness through the power of song. This is the backdrop to ANON’s recent EP – Am I Enough? The heart warming collection of ANON’s most recent work details a little about where he has been but a whole lot about where he is heading. He truly glorifies the most high in an astonishing acceptance of Christ’s good will and an all-round appreciation for being saved from his sins. Throughout the EP he describes the world in its current state – a desolate place full of hatred and naivety. As you listen on however, you really begin to understand what ANON’s intentions are for his journey and what GOD has planned for him. Do we deserve God’s grace? This is the question that is first put forward. Am I enough? This is a prominent concept throughout the EP but ANON does show signs of worthiness. Track 3, for example, which features his brother Mister Lees, maps out ANON’s appreciation for Gods eternal grace as he reflects on a past that would have corrupted the minds of most permanently. But good will always prevail evil. Again the question is begged… do we deserve it? The first single off the EP and ANON’s music debut, ‘I’ll Be Good’ made an impression on the UK music scene, reaching the #8 spot in the January 2016 UK Christian Chart. “A real triumph from ANON!
